SMS / Text Messaging Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

This policy explains how text (SMS) messaging works when you provide your phone number to a detailing business that uses Detail Suite, our auto-detailing CRM software. Detail Suite provides the software and messaging infrastructure (delivered through Twilio) that the business uses to text you. The detailing business you are working with is the sender of these messages and is responsible for obtaining your consent and honoring your opt-out requests.

The short version: If you give a business your phone number and book an appointment, you agree to receive appointment-related texts (confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

1. The Consent Language

When you provide your phone number on a business's booking page or contact form, you will see this disclosure:

"By providing your phone number and booking an appointment you consent to receive SMS appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-up messages from this business. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time."

Submitting your phone number with an appointment request constitutes your express consent to receive these messages from that business.

2. What Types of Messages You'll Receive

Messages are transactional and service-related, tied to the appointment or relationship you started with the business. They typically include:

You will not receive messages unrelated to the services of the business you contacted, and your phone number is not sold or shared for third-party marketing.

3. How to Opt In

You opt in by voluntarily providing your phone number to a business and requesting an appointment through its Detail Suite booking page (thedetailsuite.com/book/<business>), its contact form, in person, or by texting the business directly. Providing your number for an appointment is your opt-in to appointment-related texts. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

4. How to Opt Out

You can cancel SMS messages at any time. Simply reply STOP to any message you receive. After you send STOP, the business will stop sending you SMS messages. You may also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT, or simply ask the business to remove your number.

If you opt out, you may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. To resume messages, reply START or provide your number again for a new booking.

5. How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact the business directly. For questions about the Detail Suite platform itself, email support@thedetailsuite.com.

6. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your activity with the business — for example, how many appointments you book and whether you reply. You may receive messages around the time you book, before an appointment, and after service. Recurring follow-up reminders may be sent on a periodic basis until you opt out.

7. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Detail Suite and the business do not charge you to receive these texts, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates may apply depending on your plan. Check with your wireless carrier for details. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Supported Carriers

Messages are supported on major U.S. and Canadian wireless carriers. Carrier support is subject to change, and we cannot guarantee delivery on every carrier or in every location.

9. Privacy

Your phone number and the content of messages are processed to deliver the texts you've agreed to receive. SMS consent and phone numbers are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Messages are delivered through our communications provider, Twilio, and stored in the business's Detail Suite account so the business can see the conversation. For full details on how data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

10. Your Agreement

By providing your phone number and requesting an appointment, you confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of that phone number and that you agree to this SMS Policy and our Terms of Service.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of a business's booking or messaging after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact

Questions about this policy? Email support@thedetailsuite.com. For appointment-specific questions, contact the detailing business you booked with directly.
